The Great Sphinx of Giza is a world-famous monument. It is carved from a whole piece of limestone, about 73 meters long and 20 meters high. It is generally believed to have been built during the reign of Pharaoh Khafra. Its shape combines a human head and a lion body. Although it has been eroded by time, it still has a mysterious charm.
