Kumasi Zoo is located in the center of Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti region of Ghana. It was built in 1951 and officially opened in 1957, covering an area of about 150 hectares. There are more than 135 animals of more than 40 species in the zoo, including primates, reptiles, etc. The feature is the thousands of bats roosting in the trees. Although it faces financial difficulties, it is still worth a visit.
