Mikumi National Park, one of Tanzania's famous safari parks, is located in Morogoro District, about 300 kilometers from the capital city of Dar es Salaam. The park covers an area of about 1,300 square kilometers and is surrounded by mountains to the east, south and west, creating a unique basin landscape, with a plain in the center that rivals the Serengeti plains. It is extremely rich in animal species, covering almost all of Tanzania's beasts, including giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, elephants, lions, hippopotamus and rhinoceros, as well as more than 300 species of birds. The park is connected to the Selous Nature Reserve, where animals migrate seasonally, providing visitors with a rich wildlife viewing experience. With easy access and excellent facilities, it is a great destination for exploring Tanzania's natural ecology.
