Zahir Mosque is the state mosque of Kedah, Malaysia, located on the banks of the Kedah River in Alor Setar. It was built in 1912 and completed in 1915, covering an area of 124,412 square feet. Its design was influenced by the Azri Mosque in North Sumatra. The five domes represent the five pillars of Islam, and the mosque also carries the historical memory of the anti-Siamese war.
