Located in Igorot Garden, Baguio City, the Cordillera Freedom Monument is a sculpture complex that pays tribute to the indigenous peoples of the Cordillera region. Created by sculptor Leon Imao in 2002, the monument depicts warriors holding shields and spears, symbolizing the heroic resistance of the indigenous peoples during the Spanish colonial period. The monument not only showcases the tenacity of the Cordillera people, but is also a great place for tourists to learn about the culture and history of the Philippine highlands.
