The Habana National Museum of Fine Arts is the most important temple of Cuban art, located in the center of Havana and founded in 1913. The museum is divided into two main buildings: one dedicated to Cuban indigenous art, covering painting, sculpture and installations from the colonial period to the modern day, and the other to international art, including classical European, Latin American and Asian art. The museum's collection of more than 40,000 works illustrates Cuba's rich cultural and artistic history.
