Playa Rincon is one of the most stunning beaches on the Samana Peninsula, stretching approximately 3 kilometers along the bay. It features pristine white sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters, surrounded by lush coconut groves and tropical hills. The western end of the bay has calm waters, ideal for swimming, snorkeling, or kayaking, while the eastern end features stronger waves, perfect for surfers. The beach can be reached by boat, horseback, or off-road vehicle from Las Galeras. At the western end of the beach, the cool Caño Frío River flows into the sea, forming a natural freshwater pool that is very popular. Despite being listed among the world's top beaches, Playa Rincon remains underdeveloped, with only a few local restaurants and lounge chair rentals, offering fresh seafood and local cuisine.
