National Heroes Park is located in the center of Kingston, Jamaica, covering an area of about 50 acres. It is a combination of national historical monuments and urban green space. It was once a racecourse in the 19th century. After independence, it was converted into a national park and renamed in 1973 to commemorate Jamaica's top heroes. In the "Heroes Circus" in the park, there are monuments to seven national heroes, Marcus Garvey, Nanny of the Maroons, Sam Sharpe, Paul Bogle, George William Gordon, Alexander Bustamante and Norman Manley, and many former prime ministers and cultural celebrities are buried here, such as Michael Manley, Dennis Brown, Miss Lou, etc. The park also has a tombstone commemorating the fallen soldiers in the two world wars, and there is a guard changing ceremony every hour. The strong solemn atmosphere makes people reflect on history and national spirit.
