Mauke's Natural Sea Pools are a unique natural wonder hidden between the limestone formations (Makatea). These pools are formed by erosion and are clear and transparent, making them ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Kopu Po'oki (meaning "stomach hole") is one of the most popular pools and is located near Tiare Cottages, about a 5-minute walk away. Visitors need to walk about 50 meters along the coral reef at low tide to enter the cave. It is recommended to wear reef shoes to ensure safety. The water in the cave is cool and the environment is quiet, making it an ideal place to relax on a hot summer day.
