The Congress Building in Brasilia stands on the Three Powers Square. It was designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer and built between 1958 and 1960. The building has a strong contrast between horizontal and vertical shapes, and two hemispheres, one upside down and the other inverted, are blended in it, forming a unique shape of "a pair of chopsticks and two bowls".
