The Roberto Melendez Metropolitan Stadium is located in Barranquilla, Colombia and is the second largest stadium in the country. Built in 1986, it can accommodate nearly 50,000 spectators and is the home of the Barranquilla Youth Team and the official venue for the Colombian national team. The stadium has hosted important events such as the 2001 America's Cup.
