Casa Pueblo

Casa Pueblo

Casapueblo is a unique building located in Punta Ballena, near Punta del Este, Uruguay. Constructed by Uruguayan artist Carlos Páez Vilaró, it began in 1958 as his summer home and evolved into a museum, art gallery, and hotel. The structure's white, curvilinear design is reminiscent of Mediterranean architecture and offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. A highlight is the daily "Sun Ceremony," where visitors gather to watch the sunset accompanied by a recorded poem by the artist. Casapueblo is open daily from 10 a.m. to sunset.
