Located in the center of Tacuarembo, Uruguay, Teatro Escayola was built in 1891 and is a historical theater with French architectural style. After more than 60 years of silence, it was reborn in April 2024 and now has 240 seats and advanced lighting and sound equipment. The theater is not only a national historical heritage, but also has an art gallery and a gaucho cultural museum to showcase the rich local cultural heritage. Guided tours are open from 18:00 every Wednesday to Sunday, and tickets are affordable. You are welcome to come here to experience the artistic charm and historical style of northern Uruguay.
