Dire Dawa is the second largest city in Ethiopia and a special municipality. It is located in the eastern part of the country and is a transportation hub and commercial center in the east. The city was founded in 1902 and has an international airport and railways, with convenient transportation. The industry here is developed, and there are many markets. The residents are mainly Oromo, Amhara, etc., and most of them believe in Islam and Orthodox Christianity.
