Mancora's biggest advantage is its climate - it's warm all year round, and it's beach season all year round. There is almost no “off-season”, and even in the Peruvian winter (June through September), the water is still pleasant, with temperatures around 25°C, which is perfect for getting in the water. As a result, it has become a popular vacation spot for Peruvians themselves, especially around Christmas, New Year's and Easter, when townspeople come here to soak up the sun and relax.

Tip: If you prefer a relatively quiet atmosphere, it is advisable to avoid the holiday rush in late December and January. To meet the best waves, choose the surfing season between December and April.
Seafood is one of the key words in Mancora. With the sea as your backdrop, you'll find freshly caught fish, shrimp and crabs every day at affordable, authentic prices, making Mancora a foodie's paradise.

Airplane + bus connection: you can fly to Piura or Tumbes and transfer to a bus to Mancora (about 2-3 hours drive).
