Manila Cathedral, officially known as Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, is one of the most important religious buildings in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, located in the historic district of Intramuros. The cathedral was built in 1581 and is one of the religious symbols of the Catholic Philippines. After many rebuilds and restorations, the surviving building has a unique architectural charm with a blend of Spanish colonial baroque and neo-classical elements.
