Larnach Castle is the only castle in New Zealand. It is located on the Otago Peninsula and was built by banker William Larnach in 1871. The castle combines neo-Gothic revivalism with British colonial architectural styles. It has exquisite interior decorations and gardens and is an excellent place to explore New Zealand's history and culture.
