Tozeur is an oasis city in the central and western part of Tunisia, known as the "Gateway to the Desert". It is located between salt depressions, with beautiful scenery and numerous palm forests. As an important ancient town with a long history, it is famous for its dates and handicrafts. It is also the filming location of "Star Wars" and has a developed tourism industry.
