Trujillo's Twisted Reign

His private limousine is shiny and imposing, a symbol of his transcendent personality. But then your attention is drawn to something more chilling - prison records and letters from political prisoners, desperate messages scribbled on scraps of paper pleading for justice. But in the darkness, there is also courage. The museum honors the Mirabal sisters, fearless women who resisted Trujillo's tyranny and paid the ultimate price. With their photographs, books and even personal belongings on display, it preserves the legacy of their resistance. As you stand here, you realize - heroes don't exist only in fairy tales.
