The Mosque of the Barber in Kairouan is also known as the Mausoleum of Sidi Sahab. It was built in the 17th century in memory of Sidi Sahab, a friend of the Prophet Muhammad. It was named after Sidi Sahab, who had preserved three of the Prophet's beards. The building is exquisitely decorated and is an outstanding representative of Islamic style. It is also an important cultural and religious symbol of Kairouan.
