Humble Administrator’s Garden is located at No. 178 Dongbei Street, Gusu District, Suzhou. It is the largest existing classical garden in Suzhou. It was built in 1509 and is known as one of the four famous gardens in China, along with Suzhou’s Lingering Garden, Beijing’s Summer Palace, and Chengde’s Mountain Resort. The garden is centered on water, with pavilions and towers scattered in an orderly manner. It has the characteristics of a Jiangnan water town and is a typical representative of Jiangnan private gardens.
