Lago Uru Uru is a highland lake located south of the city of Oruro, Bolivia, at an altitude of about 3,700 meters. It was formed as a result of nearby mineral activity and is connected to the well-known Lake Popo. The size of the lake varies according to the seasons and precipitation, and it is an important habitat for migrating birds, and is particularly good for watching waterfowl such as flamingos. Despite the problems of pollution and declining water levels in recent years, Lago Uru Uru continues to attract environmentalists and photographers to explore and document its unique natural landscape and ecological values.
