Fatehpur Sikri is located southwest of the city of Agra and was built by Akbar, the third emperor of the Mughal Empire. The city is a mixture of Islamic, Indian and Persian architectural styles, and the red sandstone buildings in the city are magnificent. Fatehpur Sigri bore witness to the glory of the Mughal Empire and was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1986. Today, it attracts many tourists to explore the treasures of Indian history and culture.
